The InsideOut Mental Health Leadership Charter
#SmashingTheStigma by #SigningTheCharterAbout The InsideOut Charter
The InsideOut Charter provides a tangible way of demonstrating leadership engagement in and commitment to the mental health agenda by signing up up to a number of core, actionable principles. Sitting alongside other initiatives such as the Time to change pledge and the Mind Index, the InsideOut Charter has the sharp focus on the leaders of our workplaces. Our work with the role models from the InsideOut LeaderBoard has demonstrated that when leaders get behind the cause, this is the catalyst for culture change and the start of creating mentally healthier workplaces.

The InsideOut Charter Signatories commit to the following leadership principles:
01.
We believe in prioritising the mental health and wellbeing of our employees
02.
We have or will appoint a Board level sponsor for mental health
03.
We will include mental health and wellbeing on the Board meeting agendas a minimum of every 6 months
04.
We have produced or commit to producing a dedicated annual report on employee mental health and wellbeing (either stand-alone or as part of wider D&I or annual reports)
05.
We will introduce at least one mental health and wellbeing initiative each year, the impact of which will be shared in the company annual report
06.
Be represented on the InsideOut LeaderBoard or commit to work towards participation
07.
We commit to role modelling healthy behaviours in our senior leadership teams (awareness of the pillars of wellbeing; sleep; exercise; stress management; social connection; purpose; doing good; nutrition and adopt good practice in these areas)
